I've never had a flu shot or the flu but then I never had chicken pox or measles or any of the stuff that kids get. I've never been the sickley type.
I have had the flu a couple of times in my life. It just makes you feel rotten for anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks and then you get better if you're healthy to start with. If you're not healthy, it's risky but then so are the shots!
The government and health care authorities are quick to shoot us with vaccines without really knowing what long term effects might ensue, imo. I think it's all about profit for pharmaceutical companies.

^ Pretty much.

The media never miss an opportunity to capitalize on the ignorance and insecurity of the populace.

Remember, these are the same people who rejoice when a plane crashes. 9/11 was a gold mine to them.
They focus only on the bottom line... and anything which sells papers and/or advertizing is viewed as a positive thing.
Nothing else matters. To them, the ends very much justify the means.

The government of Canada's web site states (http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/alert-ale...g_h1n1-eng.php)

Are all cases of H1N1 Flu Virus severe?

No. The majority of Canadian cases of H1N1 Flu Virus have experienced mild illness and have recovered at home. Overall, the World Health Organization is describing this pandemic as moderate.

The virus is not virulent and the vaccine is untested..... hmmm.

The H1N1 virus lives for minutes on a soft surface and 2-8 hrs on a solid surface (important info in case the overwhelming urge to lick a public bathroom door handle kicks in) .

The Health Service Executive (HSE) said more than 1,570 people have been vaccinated at its clinics, on the first day of its swine flu vaccination campaign which started today....
The HSE will provide a briefing on the first day of its vaccination programme at 4pm this afternoon...
The HSE has appealed to people not in the 'at risk' category to wait for the swine flu jab.

Do you sometimes have an overwhelming urge to lick a public toilet seat?

Pretty much. Does anyone know that one of the major distributors of the Swine Flu (Baxter) was under criminal investigation because it sent out swine flu vaccines contaminated with...

H5N1. That's bird flu.

It's all another fine example of hysteria being used to generate profit. You don't need a vaccination, your body was built to be able to fight these kind of things. Vaccines actual weaken your immune system in the long run, and so do anti-biotics.

Don't even know if i'll get my normal flu shot. Sadly tonight on the news, we've had 3 deaths they think related to n1h1. Two in their 70s and a baby 2 months old.

I am so used to getting stuck with shots and who knows what.. it doesn't phase me anymore.. whether it's smallpox (fortunately that is only once every ten years), anthrax, or the flu shot

I'll get it because of my mother. She wants me to get it to protect myself from the others. Recently, we discovered that some people have the H1N1 in my school. I am not stressed about that, but my mom does. It is weird because most of the time, my mom does not trust vaccines, pills and stuff like that. But it seems that she heard too much warnings at the TV. She finally decided that all my family and I would take it. I have a brother who already got it, but I think it is just normal because he is working in a hospital.
Personally, if I had to make my choice alone (in fact, I could, but I wanted to decide with my family) I am not sure that I would get it.
