FINALLY someone agrees it's not realistic:P That ending was terrible. And, just seeing her baby face and that hamburger phone made me so afraid for young girls with rapid-firing hormones. I think I was the only kid who felt that way at such a young age...but there were kids at 14 who had slept with someone in secret in my class. Oddly enough, it was cuz of to foreign/Mexican girls who joined the class. And, one for sure was involved.

Default I agree totally!

I totally agree with the fact that JUNO is unrealistic. A pregnant teenager with supportive parents who agree not to tell the father of the baby's parents....and then for them to still be together in the end after she has gone through labor and all. Just seemed to have glossed over some real key issues like

1. Parents rallying to have pregnant teenage mothers attend alternative or night school.(this still happens today)

2. Juno as a mother not feeling an emotional connection to the baby she was carrying at all, the only thing that made her almost change her mind was the fact that couple she picked was about to break up, not that she heard the heart beat or saw the ultra sound pictures

3. What if the father did start to like the girl who smelled like soup...because Juno was giving him a hard time? I mean really.

the movie was cute but not worth all the hoopla......
as far as the teenage pregnancy rate.....this is just a movie...I don't believe pre-teens or teens will take this movie serious enough to think it will work out that way for them in their lives...so no I don't think it will affect the pregnancy rate at all

The soundtrack was terrible, the dialogue was a lil too "smartsy" in many scenes an the ending was foul. They twisted reality and lied about love. That was not true love and Bleaker is the same dork he was in Arrested Development and Superbad. Which equals lame in my book.

But, I'd take Juno/Ellen home with me if she wasn't so small and young:P WAY too young, if you ask me. It made me think some people might just think its cool to be 14 and pregnant. Sunny side up may seem different, but it made me sick. Not realistic.

At least i'm not the only person that feels this way about the movie!! I also thought the movie sent some mixed messages in regards to teen pregnancy. Not that I'm a prude or anything like that ...(farrrr from it ) but come’ on they try to make the whole situation look kinda kool and easy to deal with….or maybe is just me and I didn’t quite get it

I really liked that movie..Juno is a funny girl who doesn't care about people and juste live her live and I enjoyed that. The soundtrack and the story were excellent, and so was Ellen Page in her role. I recommend it to everybody!

Juno taking the chair out of the house and dropping off stuff...sounds like the end of a relationship. But, I never felt any love between them at all. So, when she struggles with who to give the child to toward the end...and then decides to give it to Garner anyway and say she loves Bleaker...it just didnt work for me. Nope.

And, the soundtrack was LOUD and annoying. Moldy Peaches...nuff said...bleh!
I thought the soundtrack was great.
And they did a very good job showing teenage love - which IS basically just hormones and experimentation. They were a much more realistic example of teenagers "in love' than most teen movies.
It was a simplistic view of just how a teen pregnancy would actually affect two teens, but then they both were kinda quirky and odd anyway, so it did fit. In real life, though, it would be much more difficult and heart-wrenching, but then again this was just a movie so wouldn't be exactly like real life. I'm glad she didn't suddenly decide to keep the baby, and when she watched Garner with those kids you could see her realizing how good Garner would be with her baby.
I thought Juno and Bleaker were very sweet together, and I liked how her family rallied around her and accepted it as best they could, and thought the dialogue was quite fun.
