MCR are not EMO.... they were labelled EMO due to the fact of the way they dressed but sounding more rock. To note this futher the young generations in this day an age out there listening to em consider themselves "EMO", hence why everyone now looks at MCR this way if you read the revovler maganize this year you would have learnt that MCR don't consider themselves as an EMO BAND they just fell into the catagory, plague by stereo-types of society who think this. They are a rock band and only true listeners of MCR know this, If you still doubt this try listening to the music before "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" album it will broaden your mind and give you a better unstading. As MCR music is not slasher music.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was a good album. I find nothing wrong with Emo, whatever works for you. I just hate how people think it is cool to cut and stuff like that...

I have no idea what emo means.
I strongly dislike putting labels like that on music, unless its something more broad, like 'rock' or 'dance'. All these 'sub-genres' just confuse the hell outta my tiny little brain =]
But you shouldnt worry about listening to them just cos some people have called them 'emo'
In my opinion, MCR rock, and you should listen to whatever the hell you want, be it christian rap, reggae or dance.

ALSO I don't like how people say that everyone who cuts is 'emo' and everyone who is 'emo' cuts. And then they make fun of them. Self-harm is a serious problem, a disease and you wouldn't mock someone who had cancer would you? So why mock someone who has a problem with self harming?

i love my chemical romance, they are the best band in the world. the word 'emo' relates directly to self-harm and basically being depressed, whereas I and at least one close friend can both say my chemical romance's lyrics really gave us something to live for, something to love.

They're a different form of rock.
They have some pretty gothic lyrics in some of their songs, but that just adds to their esque. I Love My Chemical Romance.

I don't really like people going crazy about some stupid fashion - like being an emo, or a rapper, or a goth, or whatever else IF they do it only for public display, only to make peope call them "cool"... But if someone is just emotional and has always been so, then... who am I to judge their nature. Do you get the difference?

And let's get back to the topic - No, I don't find MCR emo posers (well, "Tokio Hotel" are a good example for emo posers) and I like thair music. "Famous last words" used to be one of my favourite songs.

They try to draw emotion out of the listener.
My chem have their sad songs,
Meaning to bring forth the feeling of sadness or "Emo".
They also have their anger songs and happy songs.

MCR is just an amazing band.
