Anyone who has read this book can comment on it in this thread. I read it and I fell in love with it. Its a classic animal-people story.

'Wind in The WIllows" is one of my favorte books.
My parents read it to me when I was young.
I read it when I was pregnant with my daughter... I lived in NYC at the time and the heat was so bad ( July - No AC*) that I would lie in cold water in the bathtub and read. And laugh...out loud.
I reread it this summer and of course enjoyed it.
Mr Toad was a great guy.. but I do like Rat rather a lot.
Cheers~

The Wind in the Willows is one of my all-time favorites. I love all the animal characters, expecially Mole, Rat, Toad, and Badger. I read the book to my daughter until she was old enough to read it for herself. We have at least five copies of the book in the house, all of them nearly in shreds from being read so much.
