Funny thing about posting a blog. You never really know what will be popular.
There are times when I have spent hours on a posting, editing it,rewriting it, trying to get the words just right and after it is posted the result....crickets. No one seems interested and it slowly drifts into the storage file largely unread.
Then others I've just whipped off the top of my head and they will get all sorts of response.
Mind you I'm not complaining, I just think it's kind of funny.
Any one else have this experience here?

That is interesting. I never blog because I have terrible grammar and structure. I am going to start to let go of that fear because after all they are my thoughts and should just write them down for fun or just to jot them down.
I find that many times when I read my friends blogs I just marinate it in my head and don't respond or I tell them in person what I thought.

It's not so much that everyone has to read everything I post. I'm not that much of an ego maniac (yet). I'm just surprised at which one become popular and those that go ignored, irregardless of the effort put into the submission.
Thanks to all for your response. It's always appreciated.

Whether blogging or posting, I am continually baffled as to what things turn out popular (or at least interesting enough to draw responses) and what things get totally ignored.

Tis a mystery to me. Timing is part of it. Depends on who is reading posts at the time. Could be a million different reasons. I do not care much about numbers, I enjoy the comments, feedback and the people I read. I cannot believe people even bother to read my posts. I am glad they do when they do.
