 Back On Duty ~
Well I had a day off and it was wonderful.  I am now back on shift this morning. Last shift was somewhat uneventful. Except for the 35 yo female who called 911 because she just didn't feel good ?? I always wonder who raised these people ?? WHo calls 911 cause they feel a little sick ?? Of course she was fine and absolutely nothing was wrong with her. We canceled and went back to base, back to bed. Its at these moments where I find myself thinking what the hell is wrong here ??  I can't count how many times I 've felt sick or not so good.  I wouldn't dream of calling 911. ( even before I was in this line of work )  I really do get sick of people who abuse the us, the system. THis person calls 911 for something as lame as this when another 911 drops for a poss. stroke and there we are stuck with a perfectly healthy 35 yo female who's husband is standing RIGHT there who's totally able to DRIVE her to the ER if needed, while somewhere else someones probably alone, crying, drooling and scared to death because they can't move their body due to a massive stroke...... But hey once again its my job ... WE'll just see what today holds.
