Ever since discovering this site it is now a daily ritual for me to check my mail and hope to have something to write everyday. Whoever thought of thoughts is a hero in my eyes!
But I have a problem. I know I wrote about being in love recently but I have another problem (aside from the financial issues in our "relationship"), I get bored easily. I've had this problem for the longest time. I can be quite enthralled with someone and he is the most wonderful person to walk the earth and then just like that, I'm not so excited anymore. Same applies to ideas, plans etc. It just takes a small thing to tip me in the opposite direction. Why? It worries me because I can't even trust my own judgment because what excites me now may be very uninteresting to me a couple of days later. At 30 I should be less flighty surely?!
And its particularly worrisome in a relationship because you can seriously hurt someone's feeling if you suddenly 'switch off'. But the problem is its very difficult for me to regenerate or rekindle interest in something once I'm off it. Sometimes it happens in cycles; I love it; couldn't care less; hate it; have completely forgotten about it; love it; confused about it; tired of it. That's pretty much the life cycle of my ideas etc. Is there hope for the undecided? |

that's normal ... well I get like that too.
I think the solution is to find things other than your "love interest of the time" to make you happy.
But rest assured I can relate. :)

I am like what your describing and I am 39 years old. I have problems holding interest in men, activities, everything except my cats. Alot of people are like that. Don't beat yourself up about it. If you lose interest in a guy just let them down easy and try not to beat yourself up for feelings you can't help.
