 The cow at work
I'm not usually one for calling names but I work with this girl who is a real cow. She's such a princess "Oh wonderful me, I'm great at kissing ass plus I am the boss's bitch" She really gets on my nerves. I think its her overall pretentious nature that irritates me.

I consider myself to be a good judge of character and when I discover that someone has spoken maliciously about me behind my back, you may as well be the devil's daughter for all I care. And its especially so if you've been pretending to be my friend all along. I really hate that.

One things I pride myself with is not being pretentious. If I dont' like you its because you have shown me that you're untrustworthy; and you'll never be confused about how I feel. I make it very clear by steering clear of you and ignoring you when you're around. Not so that you notice that I'm ignoring you but because I genuinely do not see the point of entertaining you.  Because I really don't see the point of pretending to like someone. I'm not saying you should have beef with them but I figure the effort you put into pretending is too much effort for someone who has been mean to you. Why bother?

So I see the hag everyday with her shoulders back and chin up high and I sigh to myself. After all, I know she's just another self righteous, deceitful bitch, she can't help herself, she was just born that way.

Last night I asked my partner "why are people arseholes?" and he told me that I was asking a question bigger than "what is the meaning of life".

Reading your post just reminded me of the conversation. I've worked with people who behave like you described and yeah, its hard. I hope things improve (like the boss gets the guts up to cultivate a healthy environment) or an opportunity comes up for you to move onto a better job somewhere else.

Thanks.. i loved the part about your question being bigger than questioning the meaning of life! Problem is my job isn't so bad, its just working with some people that poses a challenge.

There is always people like that but I just steer away from them. People make things so difficult but it will always be people that you don't like

Oh my goodness! I have one of those at my office too, funny because she's Scottish, not American. I've never met someone so full of themselves before in my 20+ years of work. I feel for you completely.

Hang in there =)
