A friend of mine had the good foortune of marrying a mature (He is 43 and she is 23) and wealthy man. He was loving, devoted and ready to start a family; at least thats what we thought.
Turns out he is having an affair and has denied it. He even has the nerve to bring the floosy to the house when my friend is not around. This man has been abusive to my friend, stopped her from comleting her education, alienated her from her friends, spoken ill about her to his family (i.e his 21 year old son, adult sisters and brother who by the way live with them) and chucked her out of the house about five months ago. She has now decided to leave.
I have been my friend's confidant for a while now and I don't know how to advise her. This man has done it all, he is indefensible. And my friend is still very young (they married three years ago). Its just so sad to watch and listen to her cry over someone who clearly doesn't care for her. She was his trophy wife and he has never paid her any attention but gives her money. It all seems so tragic.

i'm not really sure. I don't think he's do this if he really loved her.
