I love writing about a compeltely different world. I thought it would be nice to share it with you all. Feedback would be awesome. What Happened? (Summary) Eden has been gone for six months. She hasn't seen her twin brother Aidan, or their two best friends Callie and Nikko for that long. But the tension between Callie and Eden is still obviously there. Nikko is starting to pay attention. The three have made new friends. Rachel a bitch. And Brittan is quite mysterious. The Upper East is where the rich roam, and there is a scandal around every corner.

Out with the old... In with the New

Eden stepped out of airport, the fresh city air hitting her lungs for the first time in awhile. The bustling of people getting to the places they needed. A small smile played on her lips. She was back where she belonged finally after six months.

She skimmed the row of cars in front of her and found Nikko’s black chrome Range Rover. And there was Nikko leaning on the passenger side door. He had a pair of dark Rock and Republics on with an odd designed baby blue tee and a casual distressed dark grey hooded blazer.  His outfit screamed rich. He always cared about how he looked... Especially when Callie was around.

His eyes scanned the crowd. They landed on Eden and he stared a little but when he noticed her looking at him he looked away and kept scanning. Eden stopped slightly confused… He didn’t recognize her.

                This would be fun.

She had been gone a full year but she hadn’t change that much. Or at least she thought. She lost her baby weight sure. She was a late bloomer sure. And she grew a couple inches. Her hair was longer, but other than that she swore she looked the same.

Her flat leather metallic coated distressed knee high boots hit the floor. She dialed on her iPhone.

She saw Nikko flip open his phone. She saw his mouth word, Hey where are you? His voice echoed into her phone.

“Mmmm. I see you,” Eden said coyly.

His eyes scanned the crowd, passing her yet again, “I don’t see you.”

                “Straight ahead. Try again.”

His eyes scanned again. Not finding anyone, he tried again. Then the third time through he looked again and for a second his eyes landed on her but shifted away. Then it registered, he glanced back staring intently that she was holding a phone and a playful smile on her face.

She slipped her phone into her bronze patent bag. His hand slid down from his face and his phone slammed shut. Her flats hit the floor as her feet moved toward him. He slid it into his pocket, his eyes staring in slight awe.

She stopped a small step away from him smiled slightly, and tilted her head, her black long curly hair bouncing a little.

                “Eden?” He smiled still astonished.

                “One and only,” She grinned.

“God it has been way to long,’ He quickly grabbed her and swirled her, “And lighter than ever. Wow you have changed…”

“It has been 6 months,” She quipped as he loaded her bags into the car.

“Last I remember you were a little heavier and definitely didn’t have those curves,” He laughed.

Eden laughed, “Like you would notice. You were too busy staring at Callie.”

                “Hey now!” Nikko laughed.

Eden settled into her seat and sighed, “I missed you.”

Nikko and Eden had a strong bond of friendship that neither of them could explain.

“I missed you to,” He smiled.

They drove into the city off to the upper east side. The “rich” part of town. They finally parked in front of the tall modernized building, where her mother lived.

They got onto the elevator and slide the card for the top floor, the biggest loft. The elevator doors slid and dinged open. They heard conversations off by the kitchen.

Nikko gave her a reassuring smile they had chatted about life the entire time. But he hadn’t said a thing about where she had been for the past six months. They walked into the open space of the adjoining kitchen and living room. Aidan, Callie, and a guy and girl she didn’t recognize.

Callie glanced over, and her eyes widened in complete astonishment, “E.. Eden?”

Aidan’s eyes wide and smile big, “Oh MY god!” He quickly bounded to her and picked her up for a hug, “You are all grown up!”

“I told you I would eventually reach… well close to  your height. After all were twins!”Eden smiled at Aidan.

When the two stood side by side you could completely see the resemblance. Before everyone thought she was younger. But now they looked liked twins. Aidan had dark jet black shaggy hair also. He stood at 6’2” and his dark blue green eyes matched Eden’s perfectly. She was only a couple inches shorter than him standing at 5’11”.

                “Wow,” Callie said, “You’re… Different.”

“I will take that as a compliment. I missed you two,” Eden said plainly.

The tension that had been there the day before she left was still obviously there.

Aidan sensed it and jumped, “Well this is Rachel,” He pointed to a red headed, emerald eyed beauty, “And that is Brittan.”

“Allo,” He smiled with his blue eyes and dark brown hair.

“So your Eden, The girl these two constantly talk about, Your quite popular,” Rachel stood up her body a perfect hourglass shape. She was a bombshell, “The one who tried to kill herself.”

She was the first one to say anything about it. Kind of a big bombshell.

                The room got eerily quiet.

                “Yup.”

                “How’d ya do it?”

                Aidan looked completely astonished, “Rachel!”

                “No biggie,” Eden said.

Rachel shrugged, “No one else will talk about it.”

                “For a reason,” Nikko said.

“It’s not a big deal,” Eden rolled her eyes.

Rachel leaned back in her chair slightly intrigued, “So how?”

Eden turned over her arms and two long fat scars went vertical down her wrists, “Passed out within a matter of seconds.”

Rachel raised an eyebrow, the two girls eyes staring into each other’s,  “Why’d you do it?”

“Didn’t want to live anymore,” Was Eden’s simple answer.

“How was the clinic?” Rachel’s eyes trying to pierce Eden’s gaze.

“How I expected it,” Eden stared back intently.

                “On pills?”

                “Course.”

                “How many?”

                “Seven different ones.”

                “Diagnose?”

“Bi-polar Disorder, Manic Depression, and a couple others that people never hear about.”

Rachel opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.

“You can’t break me,” Eden said smugly.

Rachel looked slightly bewildered, “No one’s ever called me out like that.”

“As you can see I am not normal. I am crazy.”

A smile spread across Rachel’s lips, “I like crazy people.”

“So we will get along,” Eden smiled back.

Everyone else in the room sat quietly, not knowing entirely what to say.

Aidan slightly glared and Rachel for interrogating Eden.

“What?” Rachel asked, “I was just asking what all you guys wanted to know.”

“No one has the balls,” Eden agreed with Rachel, “Anyways boys and girls, I am going to my room… If it still exists. Who knows what mom did to it.”

Once she left the room Aidan raised his voice but not enough that Eden could hear, “That was so un-called for.”

“Aidan calm down,” Callie rolled her eyes, “She doesn’t need to be protected.”

“How do you know? She JUST got out Callie,” Aidan said infuriated.

Callie snorted, “Okay Eden from a year ago would have not even said a single thing back to Rachel. She probably would of started to bite her nails like she does whenever she is uncomfortable. But if you didn’t notice she did perfectly fine protecting herself. We have a new Eden in town.”

Eden stood at the top of the spiral staircase, “Scary. Huh?”

Everyone looked up slightly startled. Eden just simply put on a coy smile and placed her hand on her hip.
