 What a great night.
It's about to rain here and and I'm loving it...I love the thunder, and the sound of the rain beating down on the roof and windows. It's just really calming, and I think I'm going to use it to my advantage tonight. I've attempted to meditate several times before but I don't think that I really understood how I was supposed to do it or how to focus my mind. It has been a while since I have made an attempt to meditate, but in the meantime I have been practicing and focusing on my breathing, and I have also been trying out different postures and seeing which ones are most comfortable for me. I'm fond of the burmese position, it's where your legs are crossed and both feet rest flat on the floor. It's nice because I can't get into lotus anymore, my hips aren't as flexible as what they used to be, but I'll be there again in no time (don't you miss being 12 and being able to flip-flop around every which-way?!).

Well, I hope everybody is having a goodnight and maybe I'll have some more to write about next time--I've never been all that great with keeping a journal or recording my thoughts so, maybe my posts will get a little more interesting and meaninful sooner rather than later. Namaste.
