 life as we know it
hi tonight i am sat with the wind whistlening round me hoping that my garage roof is o.kay, still my heatings mended now so its lovely and warm and my big cuddly dog teddy is sat with me so what more could i want. ted is very special to me i call him my angel he is always there with his waggy tail and gorgeous big brown eyes, he even seems to smile at me. he has a positive effect on all who meet him. next door to us is a lady nearly 90 years old, she is almost blind and deaf but she saves meat for ted for when i take him in to visit her. all the kids on the estate love him and he sits down and wont budge until any passers by stroke him and say hello. this means that we have met an awful lot of people in the 5 years that we have lived here. my husband got ted for me from the local home only a few months before he died so he has been my comfort and joy in all ways. at times when i could have stayed in bed forever i got up and took ted out for hours on end, clearing my head and chatting to all we met. thank goodness that my angel lives with me bless him. people could learn loads from dogs, thay are trusting, loyal, have simple needs, but mostly just know the meaning of real love. MARY and TEDDY xxxx

Hi Mary -- After seeing you in the "I'm New" forums stopped by to visit your blog. I love your positive attitude and that your mind and spirit are open to learning new things. I also read lots of self help books ... you would think I would be self-helped by now ... but not the case. Welcome to the thoughts family. You will find lots of kind caring people here. Keep writing. Peace

I agree...and I agree about dogs too. My mum's dog passed away six months after my dad and it was like he died all over again, she grieved with the same sort of depth and no one understood but her family.
I have never had a day of my life without a dog as part of the family...they know you, inside and out and are just wonderful companions (mum has another rescue dog now, she swore for all of 12 hours she was 'never gonna have another dog' before she was down the shelter getting our Honey).
I really like your posts...they are so positive and I think you're a wonderful person. Never met you...but somehow I just know I'm right.
Teddy is lucky to have you xxx
