We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things.
Hebrews 10:24
_we all knew of Temptation Island in the South Pacific where all kinds of "temptations" are found. some find it good indulging, some few others find it sin. got news for you, you don't have to go the South Pacififc for your own "temptation island"! yes, you do have your own temptation island at the very comfort at where you are now! that would be bad or good, that is how you see it. the reality is, we do not only have a temptation island but a temptation world! yeah, an island would be so small compared to the miles you've walked and persons you've talked to and met and found. you got a temptation much bigger than an island! face it! you don't need a "temptation island", you got a temptation universe you have to overcome!
_when confronted by temptation, we could fight, flight or feel it. as Christians, we're not suppose to take flight or feel it and give in but we should overcome it, not only fight it. when tap in the back to look back, remember a promise God has for you in this particular tempting time, You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and He will show you how to escape from your temptations. 1 Corinthians 10:13. yes, God can only allow temptations that you can say "No" and hinder those that are stronger than you. God can be trusted that what He allows to test us in our lives are those we can ovecome. we need not to be ashamed when we're tempted because we are all tempted according to our capacity to overcome it. being tempted is not sinning but giving in to it leads one to sinning. when tempted, it is our duty to claim God's promise.
_as Christians, we are individuals part of one body and is accountable to every one. when tempted, remember that you are not alone. there is someone you can expect encouragement and prayers to help you ovecome your struggle. as Christians we are called not only to serve God but our fellow Christians, too. If you have sinned, you should tell each other what you have done. Then you can pray for one another and be healed. The prayer of an innocent person is powerful, and it can help a lot. James 5:16. yes, you can call a Christian friend to help you out and be an overcomer.
_craving for God's Word is another step to easily slip away from temptation. I treasure your word above all else; it keeps me from sinning against you. Psalm 119:11. filling your mind with God's Word is another way not to sin against Him. no innocent is exempted from the law. knowledge of rules makes one aware of its punishments. fill your mind with the Word that no space will be available for temptation to sink in and fool you. being busy takes you away from entertaining temptations. filling your schedules with things to do makes you not focus on temptations that may come your way. read the Word in your excess time, talk to God when you got nothing to do that temptation won't have a time with you.
_overcomming is an easy task for those who wants to win.
