Put on all the armor that God gives,
so you can defend yourself against the devil's tricks.
Ephesians 6:11
_we all sin, and that is a fact. mostly continue but as Cristians we should not. in fact we are to resist every temptation that comes our way that it could not lead us to sinning. doing a particular sin the first time hurts us and fills us with guilt. it bothher us and removes us from our balanced way of life. it haunts us and not until we recovered and felt forgiven, we can't ne "normal" again. just like a new sheet of paper, it somehow feels hard to crumple it. but straightening it being forgiven and crumpling it again as you do the sin again, it feels lighter now unlike the first time. straighten it and crumple it again, much easier isn't it? do it several more times and the paper won't resist anymore from being crumpled. that is so same with sinning. as you get used to its pain, you'll endure it and even get used to it. the fear intensity on the first try would lessen as you go on and do it again. but that should not encourage us from doing sin. imagine your heart as the paper you're crumpling, eventually it will ripped and will be useless. would you like that to happen?
_like what i've quoted from the Bible in my past article, temptation do not come from God but from our inner desire to do that wrong thing. if you want to stand firm and strong in your faith, first, you must believe that you can! if can't convince yourself that you actually can do it, do not try it, you won't do it. sometimes, the hardest person to convince that you can do something is yourself. insecurities, low self-steem and self-induced limitations hinders one from growing because he cannot see himself growing. it is like a bean being watched for growth. but the bean was so afraid to come out of its coat. it is dark under the soil. uncertainties and doubt will not do you any better than drying you and makes you forget your potentials.
_after believing, trust help from God. He is so faithful that when He allowed testing, He also provide a way out for us. believe, trust and claim His promises. God says what He means and means what He said. tell Him what He told you and expect to see the fulfillment of what He has said.
_that power from God won't work on its own. having the body that controls it, be responsible for maintaining its strength and nurturing the flame that it do not goes out with fuel. constantly pray and read your Bible. if a car needs regular tuning up, cleaning and few road drives, let not your power be stagnant ang grow weak. one week without prayer makes one weak! read your Word. do not let mites and dust grow in their faith by living in your Bible. live by God's Word. He instructs the proper use of that "power" through it. two vital parts of the armour that could protect you from Satan's trick whe used well is prayer and meditation.
_simple, isn't it? do not let Satan crumple your strenght again, instead, straighten up firm by living a prayerful life nurtured by His Word.
