Anyone who belongs to Christ Jesus and wants to live right will have trouble from others. 2 Timothy 3:12
_every Christian is bound to suffer and feel pain. yes, being a Christian will not be easy. every one of us will be persecuted. we will be ridiculed, laughed at and made fun of; mocked, insulted and cursed; left out, isolated and threatened. yes, every kind of hurt is about to rage us not just to test our faith but our stand. when we decided to be one with Christ, we go now against the usual flow. we now stand against those we used to sit with. those people we used to love and cherished. it will hurt much because those we have near to our heart will oppose us. we are not lucky to be one, that i can say!
_but lose not hope for the hope, light and life Himself is in us, is with us. every people will suffer. blessed are Christians for they had Jesus Christ whom they could stand with and be stronger, tougher, last longer. i pity those who turned back on God for their friends and family. those they chose will eventually leave them. unlike us who chose God over anyone else, we will have Someone by our side as long as we live, even after we live.
_when we act as Christians, do right as we are suppose to do, we will be the apple of attention of all eyes. doing right and standing for what is right is something that not so common this days and doing the right thing to do is uncommon. it will draw a lot of attention and comments. they will wonder why would you bother doing good when it is "ok" to do what is not.
_when we suffer and feel pain because of doing the right thing to do, we gain God's favor as Paul had said. yes, you are not alone in your "Christian pain"! aside from God whom is there for you always, the early believers had experienced the same pain and shame that you are now having. what you are going through today has been victuriously overcame by those who are ahead of you. you are not alone when you suffer because God is with you if you had Him. you are not alone because those ahead of you had already finished it.
_would you suffer for doing right or let right do the suffering?
