Cheer up! I am sure that God will do exactly what He promised.
Acts 27:25
_we all have these moments when we thought we'd die of stress. the intense pain makes it difficult to bear and feels like a heavy "something" is inside our chest. we can't breath but feel the pain. it makes us cry. it makes us feel alone. theories tells us that stress is something that is inevitable in one's life while research tells us that some are literally killed by stress. no, stress did not make them kill themselves but stress killed them. it's frightening. but how are we really to handle circumstances the are beyond our control?
_when Paul, the Apostle sailed his way to Rome with some others in the ship, a storm hit them and scared them. like them, we are always being confronted by life's storms. we can at least do what Paul and some others did when a storm confronted them by the sea as stated in Acts 27.
_you have to get rid of extra cargo that you do not need. maybe you are hoarding and keeping stuffs that you don't need. a room can be easily cleaned and put into order when it has only the things that are necessary to be inside it. things that are not needed but are inside the room will just clamour and make the room untidy. if cleaned, it will take time. same with our life, compromissing relationship, obsessions and compulsions, sinful habit are those things that hang around us and makes it too difficult to move on.
_you have to get busy with things that matter. well, these "things" really are often people and relationships. instead of lingering down the office hallway, why not go home early that your children may still somehow recognize your face. instead of hanging out with computer and online role playing games, why not drop by home and hug your mom and dad that they may know your not an imagination. things we do that we thought are important and means a lot to us make us forget of those things that are really important and puts importance in your existence.
_you have to get in touch with God. sometimes, God allows these life's storms thay we may see Him. when the sky is clear and things are well, we often tend to plan and get busy enjoying the day not even remembering to thank God for the nice weather. but when the clouds are dark, rains pouring and storm are lowering, we kneel and seek God. often when we have much, where we see ourselves are busy with boutiques, stores and malls not even saving the "righteous tenth part". God will strip us all what distracts us from focusing on Him that we may see Him clearly.
and i quote .. "when God orders up storms in our lives, it is because change is really needed. usually the strom is not the real issue -- not from God's point viewpoint. it is an imbalance that had developed in our priorities, sometimes so subtle that we can't see it until turbulence gets our attetion." .. unquote.
