All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD. Proverbs 16:2
_our eyes loves to prey on someone else's fault. it is so easy for us to say something on them bacause they did something wrong. hmm, are we being "judgmental"? hey, pause for sometime! something's eating you up and is placing you on somewhere you should not be. pride is forming a self-righteous attitude in your inside. i tell you it is not good.
_accepting our faults is really difficult. in our Filipino culture, it is easier to tell someone he got the wrong side of his shirt on than being told. it is hard to admit our imperfections than telling others theirs. integrity is something too different from pride. as pride eats you, you denies more about yourself and assumes a person quite different from who you really are and believes you are that. unlike when you have integrity, you becomes more open to accept your faults and imperfections. it is accepting the truth rather than denying it that makes integrity one of the good values.
_would you accept your disabilities and learn to develop your abilities or deny the existence of your imperfections and live in denial? is it really easier to deny and blind yourself about self-reighteousness than to confess your fault? pride crawls slowly, unnoticeably but is so dangerous and fatal. integrity is so hard to develop and takes a lot of pain to live by. would you chose to be engulfed by pride-induced-death or live by the light produced by truth?
