Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1
_have you seen electricity? almost most of us don't but we do believe that there are these proton, neutron and electron that interacts and produces electricity. have you seen air? almost most of us don't but we do believe that there are these hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, et al. that swirls and move in and out and around us. have you seen a galaxy? almost most of us don't but we do believe that there are these vast magnificent unimaginable space that contains hundred thousands of stars and planets. we don't but because we believe, it can also be said, we already saw them.
_believe plus trust equals faith. that faith enables us not just to see or feel but makes us believe and trust that actually some things exists without being seen. proofs prove. and it now depeds on us whether to believe or not. God's, angel's and heaven's existence are of examples of existences that are not appreciated by our naked human eyes. but like electricity, air and galaxies, these spiritual concerns are proven to be real. if these are all real, then why do not all persons believe that they are real? because they refuse to!
_a classic childish example is this. i'm holding a wire whose other end is plugged and the other end has its wires peeled and exposed. then facing you, i said, "hold the other end. the fuse is turned off. you won't be electrified." seeing that the wire i'm holding is plugged and that i'm holding it in the covered portion, will you touch the wire end?
_ask yourself, do i need see God, angels and heaven before i believe them or should i believe that there is actually hell waiting for me when i see God, angels and heaven not believing? the answer is yours to ponder.
_what God has done in the past, He can do today if you could only believe, He'll meet your needs if you could only trust, He could save you from whatever it is, if you could only have faith.
