Parents, don't be hard on your children. Raise them properly. Teach them and instruct them about the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
_our homes nowadays, almost everywhere have phantom fathers. fathers that were there but were not really present. what our homes need are fathers and not just men. there are a lot of men in the house but are not fathers. there are a lot of fathers but are not men. but of which are wrong and has to be corrected or it will cause a more serious norm.
_to be a father is to be selfless. yes, to be a father is far more different than being the man you are admired for. to be a father means to have an extra effort to be admired more by forgetting what you have been through and start a new man in you. it takes a selfless man to be a father. yes, selfless. why? i'll tell you why.
_only selfless men can see their own weaknesses and recognize their own inabilities. onle selfless men can admit to themselves that they can't do all things. only selfless men can accept the reality that even men needs help. only selfless men can run after and present themselves to Jesus carrying his family responsibility and not tossing it to the mother of the house. only selfless fathers can kneel and humble themselves forgetting their pride and recognize that Someone is above them and is better than they are. only selfless men will ask for help and will not think of what others may think of them when they do but puts in mind what good thing will happen if he do so. only selfless men can seek Jesus and ask Him for assistance in "father-ing" his family.
_only selfless fathers are not afraid to let Jesus enter and rule his house. only selfless fathers will surrender his authority over his family to God and follows what God will tell him to do. only selfless fathers can give honor to God in his house better than the reverence other give on the picture on the wall. only selfless fathers can build a house where God's presence is recognized, his authority is honored and His word is obeyed. only selfless fathers are not afraid to let go of their power and let God take over the family that he has started.
_only selfless father will not be afraid to express love. only selfless fathers will not be ashamed to show their endearment and actions of love most to his wife and siblings. they are not afriad to lose their "sturdy hard man" image but considers what his family will lose if he did not show his affection.
_it will be easier for a child to see God as his Dad when he sees God in his dad.
