 D, Winning Attitude
I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize.
My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead.
I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done.
Philippians 3:17-21

_every winner has to have the winning attitude to win. it comes first with the dissatisfaction of one's level of ability. it is an inner drive that makes one improve and raise the level of his capacity. it is uncontentment of what already he can do. not of greed but of need of improvement. an athlete will push his limits for growth. he is not craving for more but is making more out of what he already have. growing should be a part of everyone's life but sadly, few only feels the need to grow and be better. many of us, feels good about being stagnant and senile about feeling good. a winner gets out of his limits and pushes his ability to its fullest capacity.

_the next D is discipline. winning is not about sleeping weak and getting up strong. being a winner comes with a strict compliance to trainings, diet and exercises. a winner is never a winner without an attitude. he must know he is a winner, believes he is a winner and above it all, acts as a winner. he knows when things are appropriate and when things needs improvement. only through discipline one will be one with his craft. when an athlete is completely one with his craft, he knows exactly what is needed and achieves it, what is wrong and improves it, what is lacking and strengthens it. a winner has a heart that is so committed. a heart that do not go away where it has to be.

_another D is direction. this comming 08.08.08, athletes from around the world will compete for a gold medal. not one of them, even one of those thousands will come and arrive at stadium doubting if he will win. a winner is so sure to himself that he will win. that is the direction that we must have so we can win. a direction that is so clear and is so near. one cannot win if he has in himself doubt. an athele will always think he will win. and those whose direction is just winning wins. winners do not mind distractions and disturbances but sees clear what is at the end of every fight, winning.

_the last D is determination. in a marathon, it does not count how you started but how you ended the race. you may be lagging when the gun fires, it doesn't matter. who comes first to the finish line matters most. in our long journey in life, it doesn't matter what is your past. how you ended matters most. being determined to win is not quitting. winners do not quit, as quitters do not win. being determined is putting in mind winning and doing all that you can, everything that you can just to win.

_as Christians, you must win!! Jesus has done much, do not let them defeat you.
