I have told you this, so that you might have peace in your hearts because of me. While you are in the world, you will have to suffer. But cheer up! I have defeated the world.

_as we live, we try to survive. and as we try to survive, stronger things come up and try to defeat us. it is a cycle, maybe can be called problem. have you ever thought of "If I can only get through this, then I'll be okay." then you did got through the problem only to find out many more along the horizon are far better than the one you just conquered. yeah, it is a tiring repeating cycle of solving and getting through the problems that arise and grows. in our life in this world, problems are certain.
_"but cheer up!" the verse says. yes, problems may be certain and unavoidable but then peace is also certain and is available for us. Jesus is offering peace to us. it is giving us help to get through and be burdened not much of the load. it is like figthing a war, not worrying of being defeated because victory has already been assured. Jesus is giving us the ultimate weapon for us to get through our problem easier and lightly. He is saying that we need not to be exhausted in getting through these stuffs. He is proposing an easier way to overcome them. being at peace, in mind and soul, gives us a calm heart. without being greatly troubled, our mind can think clearly. our judgement will not be distorted. we can act accordingly if we are not panicking. peace is an indirect attack to get through our dilemas.
_another P that is certain and will help us get through our hindrances is prayer. it may not be as powerful as it may sound. but to those who understands, prayer is something so much powerful than the mightier sword or word. it is a direct connection to the One who knew it all and is in control. being calm helps in times of storms, but prayer can give you a certain safe protection from harm and damages that the problem could inflict. prayer is calling the best team in town to solve the problem for you and leave you with so much power to face another problem or call them again. prayer is like ringing a bell then maids in the house will come running to assist you in the simpliest task you want to do. prayer offers protection. prayer causes peace. prayer solves problem.
_certain as it existed, problems always have a purpose with them and a weak point designed for defeat. access Him who conquered the world and everything bad in it.
