I may walk through valleys as dark as death, but I won't be afraid. You are with me, and Your shepherd's rod makes me feel safe. Psalm 23:4
_once in a while we were tempted to give up when we pass through the dark tunnels of our life. it was when we knew we are in trouble and is grooping for sonething to hold but we can't find somehting to grasp on. our hands are wet, slippery and searching. our minds going fired up, going tired and resting exhausted. our body shivering from cold, perspiring from heat, engulfed by weakness.
_have you tried walking pass the hallway everyone's afraid to stride? have you tried to talk to someone everyone else's afraid to face? have you tried to confront a decision others dare not to face? i will tel you, YOU CAN! yes, with confidence!
_the Psalmist did imagine himself walking the dark, deep and dangerous valleys and not being afraid. i do not know how you imagine him walking the wet, slippery or maybe muddy soil of the valleys. i'll share mine. i did picture myself doing it myself and not being afraid. i'm dressed with casual wears, do have shoes and a backpack maybe. i walk the dark passage with branches above my head, vines scratching my arms and legs maybe. raindrops maybe for a gloomy feeling and cold winds sweeping from my back. but im not afraid. i'm not singing praises or hymns or worship songs, nor is reciting verses. i'm talking to Someone i knew is with me. and maybe if somone will see me in that dark time of my life, i want him to see me with wings that shine. wings that flutter as it covers protecting me, keeping me safe, strenghtening me. it covers me from the winds that rushes, from rain that pours and from tempations that comes my way. so comforting, so safe, it's life.
_can you imagine with me you being safe amidst the dangers?
