 Being Better is Being Bitter
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1

_i remember how i was when i am a child trying to please others to have their approval so i could feel good about myself. i make sure i knew our memory verse before i go into our Sunday School so i can have an applause and a "very good" from Teacher Grace. i always give my fullest in every dance or song number that i'll be in the center. and so many other  else "unconscious stupidity". i do things like that thinking if i can be good enough for others, then God would like me better. but i was wrong, very wrong.

_when God decided to give Jesus Christ for our sin, He did not thought of how much you could give. but simply because of love, He gave all that He has for us. yes, trying all our best can make God smile if our motives are right and are in place. if we do things to make us worthy in His sight, our lifetime "goodness" wouldn't be enough for the life of His only Son. if we do good things that we may show how good is our God and how good He can be to them, then maybe God is smiling on us.

_measuring how worthy one can be to receive God's favor can only lead one to realise how unworthy he is to receive God's grace. we can't be someone God will love because of what we do. He loved us because He wanted to. it is not what you do or what you will do, but who you are made God loved you. and to think about repaying is something you shouldn't try. for what he has given cannot be out-given. you can never out-give God. as you share, He gives. as you let your blessings flow, He pours. never think that giving is something you can to do to at least pay what God has given you. remember that what you are giving is His.

_being good and doing good will not make you a "better Christian" as compared to others but could influence unbelievers that Christianity is better. not in the sense of belonging to a religion but because of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
