Aren't two sparrows sold for only a penny? But your Father knows when any one of them falls to the ground. Even the hairs on your head are counted. So don't be afraid! You are worth much more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31
_among the 9,000 species of birds, sparows are one of the most common flying specks of life and are inhabitants with us humans. we see them in the streets, church, buildings, parks and anywhere else. they are so familiar that we unconsciouly put little importance on their existence. they are so familiar that none would not deny he know a sparrow.
_compared to eagles, peacocks and ostriches, sparrow are like winds that sweeps unnoticed. but look how God uses these common sparrows as an example how He dearly love a person. though the vast number of these tiny fluttering birds, God cares for them that none of them drops dead without God knowing. He numbers their days and sustains their life while alive. on the latter part of the verses, it was noted that men, we are more important than sparrows.
_yesterday, i've watched a film entitled "Indescribable", a sermon concerning the vastness of space, galaxies and all that is above far from us. yes, it was so overwhelming that in a great space, so great, so huge space that God had hold in His hands, He sees you! He sees me. He cares for us so much that He died and lived for us. even though the Earth, our home is too little and almost disappears in the whole picture of the "known" galaxy, God has did something out of love for us.
_yes, as these birds are so insignificant to most of us, that seeing them is just another time seeing them, God sees each of us with unphantomable love that He can only give. these common birds do not soar like eagles, nor strut like peacocks, nor are as fast and enomous as ostriches are but, see, God looks at them preciously with love.
_wouldn't it be nice if we could learn to appreciate these common "stuffs" that we had rather than wanting for what we don't necessarily need? let us appreciate how these common things color, fills and makes our life.
_maybe, now is the time that little things gets big attention. won't you? |
