Your sins are the roadblock between you and your God.
That's why He doesn't answer your prayers or let you see His face.
Isaiah 59:2
_have you had a time when God seems not to answer any of your prayers and makes you doubt whether He really answers or not? unanswered prayers comes with an answer now! i received this as a text message and now i want you to pay close attention as i expound the answer on why do God refuse to answer.
_disobedience. why would God say what He wants you to do when you already had decided not to follow? asking for the love of your life is crucial and seems life to almost everyone. God would not answer your plea to give her/him to you when you had a "consistent" record of disobedience. He would not tell you or even give you your "destiny" because He knows how you are going to respond. you might will just hurt the person or hurt yourself and God maybe blamed for your disobedience.
_secret sins. why would God do what you want Him to do for you when you can't even try doing what He wants you to do for Him? these seemingly small sins that sticks to the walls of our hearts hinders our prayers from reaching God's ears. no matter how hard we plea and cry, these sins will mute our prayers and make our efforts useless.
_stubbornness. why would He listen to you when you are not listening to Him? putting words on God's mouth isn't good when He has already said something. it is like do not be equally yoked with the unbelievers and here you are trying to rationalize with "i'll bring him to the church." do not pray for help when you do not want to be helped! God won't answer a question that comes after a fixed answer.
_self-indulgence. why would God please you when you are not pleasing Him? God pours down blessing to bless His people that in return, His people will bless other as well. if you had in mind a secret plan of putting yourself up higher than with others, God will not answer call for help. it is important that when you pray, your heart is checked for inappropriate motives. motives that is more focused of pleasing yourself than pleasing God. God will not show favoritism, unless otherwise He is glorified.
_mistrust. why would God trust you when you can't trust your God? doubt like sin blocks our prayer from reaching God. and it is an insult to ask for something you're not believing He will provide. a streak of doubt is enough to wipe our prayers white out. it is nonsense for us to ask when we are not ready to receive.
_unanswered prayers are prayers worth not answering. if there is something wrong in your prayer, God will not pay attention to it, surely as it has the wrong thing in it.
