who are you to know my story?
Soooo I was at work today and my manager pulled me aside and told me that I have really proven myself in the week that I've been there and that they want to make me full-time instead of part-time. Which means a guaranteed 36 hours/week, which means a guaranteed 300-340 dollars a week. Which means that once financial aid comes in I can live off that and use my paychecks for my credit cards, and within 6 months I can be where I want with them. I can have 5 paid of and cancelled, and the other 5 either paid off or at least lowered considerably. And after that I can put the majority of my paychecks in savings. This makes me very happy.

Only worked four hours tonight, and it was nice. Didn't do anything hard. Just getting the store ready for the corporate visit tomorrow. Now sure what I'm gonna do on my day off. I'm thinking that I can go to the pool and try to work on my tan (which has amazingly disappeared) if the weather isn't too insane. It's been hard to breathe out there with the heat. So I'm not 100% sure about that plan.

Oh and I forgot to say in my last post that I had changed my apartment insurance coverage and got a letter saying that my premium had been raised, and that the payment was due at the end of August. Well I pay once a year, not monthly, but the payment was almost 300 dollars. I thought that was ridiculous and this was before I found out about being full-time so I called to cancel the policy. I wasn't going to argue with them to lower the price, cause that's just not the type of person I am. Was just gonna cancel. But the guy immediately asked if I would keep the policy if they lowered the price. So he made one adjustment and got the premium down to 200 bucks, and that saves me 60 dollars. So of course I said yes I would keep it, because I didn't really want to not have rental insurance. It would be my luck that as soon as I cancelled my place would get robbed. Not that I really have anything worth stealing, but still. So I thought that was pretty cool. Made me happy, and it only took him 5 minutes to do it.

I realized tonight at work that we have some really awesome leather spiked dog collars. I have my own, a small red one. I'm not into goth or anything like that, but occasionally I like to put on my big black boots and my spikes. It's kinda liberating because I get a lot of disapproving looks, and it just makes me feel empowered because I don't always have to go with the flow and fit in with the crowd. Anyway, rambling there...there are some really awesome ones there. They are expensive though. I don't really wear mine enough to make it worth buying a new one.

Not sure what to do with my night. Since I got so much sleep last night I know there's no way I'm going to bed early tonight. I'm thinking either painting, drawing, writing, watching a movie and downloading, or cleaning. Although I will probably clean some tomorrow so scratch that.

i can't for the life of me imagine what someone would possibly want to do with ten credit cards...but each to his (or her) own!
it's nice to have some sort of financial stability...takes a LOAD of stress off!
and to top it all off: dog collars! LOL
cheers!

lol yeah I started with just one credit card and it kind of spiraled. Several of them have saved me in the past, but others are completely useless and I can't wait to be rid of them. I'm not the worst, though. A girl I used to work with had 15!

Hey Fantastic on the financial front, you'll feel so good when you have squashed that credit burden. I only have 2 credit cards, one as my main and the other as backup... I usually pay them off every month. I only use them because we have a rewards system here where each dollar you spend, you get a point which accumulates and you get free stuff.

Oh and as for the collar with the spikes.... Go for it, I used to do out of the ordinary things took, just because I could. :)

Congrats on the job :] Im sure it feels amazing to have earned the position. By the way I totally get the dog collar thing. Those dissaproving looks really do make you feel like an individual.
