i know how you feel. you are not alone. please try to get yourself some help for the sake of your son. i know it is hard to suck down the pride but I also have a young daughter I want to be there to see her grow and plus I dont want to remember mommy being sad. even if the situtions stay crappy but our attitudes/feelings can change. yeah, so there is no instruction manual. wish there was one too. take one battle at a time. as for growing up it will take your whole life which also comes in steps. go to your local non-profit pregnancy help place in which they help with parenting classes and hook you up with a mentor and such. its great. as for having doubts about being ready to be a mother...you will always feel inempt. because you are not perfect all we do is pray for guidance and wisdom.
