My husband and I are involved in educating preschoolers in Kenya. The children are given one chance to pass a reading test to enter what they call "standard one" which is our first grade. However, no education is provided to prepare these children for this test. The test is given one time; and if they fail they can never enter school.
The average income of a Kenyan is $25 a month. Many schools are available but they cost more than Kenyans have, yet they will do most anything to see that they are able to go.

We also establish orphans with homes. Not orphan homes. These are family are people that are willing to provide a home for 6-8 children for life. They are given a home, education, and the security of knowing that they are loved and cared for.

Parents are literally dying in the streets due to Aids, leaving their children there with no hope.

If were blessed with that kind of wealth; their would be SO MANY CHILDREN with a hope and a future.

I'd use all the power it gave me to inflict misery and malice upon all those I took a fikle dislike to. Like the woman who got on the escalator in front of me today. Bitch gave me a dirty look. I'd ruin her, her kids, her grandkids. For fun.

Then I would go to a 3rd world country and start a war. Then sell them arms. For fun.

Then I would go to some prestine rainforest somewhere and bulldoze it. For fun.

Once I become rich and influential enough I would send people, banks, countries bankrupt and drive them to dispare. Then arm them. Sit back and watch the ensueing melee!

Now if after turning it in and nobody claimed it and I was given the money I would, based on the amount eliminate debt first. Then create trust funds for my grandchildren, and children. Then invest in real estate more on the commercial side then residential. The tax benefits are better on the commercial. Once I created that positive cash flow I would keep reinvesting until I created my first billion.

I would feel very guilty if I took the money since it didn't belong to me, so I would call the police and report it. If it went unclaimed and I was told that I could keep it, I would give to a charity such as 'Feed The Children' or 'St. Judes Children Hospital'. I feel there are so many people in this country who are a lot less fortunate than I am and they could use it more than I. *smiles*

I am with D. I would turn it in. If it was unclaimed and given back to me, I would tithe on it, pay bills and help some family out. Then I would invest it. Once its been invested, I would take the interest and help out other people and live off the interest. Might open up a BBQ restaurant and force Brainstormer to work for me.

Well if I found that kind of cash I would have to be smart. Somebody is looking for it (trust me) so I just live life like I am. Except I no long worry about cash. If I wanna go out I take 100$ dollars and go out. I want to go camping. I make sure my tent is the best out there and I buy firewood instead of cutting it. Something is broke well I get it fixed. I dont invest or put it in the bank because ounce again someone is looking for it. I stuff it under my bed. I just buy a uzi with the red beam and two big dogs, I name them Biggie and Tupoc. I still go to work but now there is no stress. Whats the man going to do? Fire me. Then I just go get another crapy job. I dont need to get paid a top wage more. So f*ck it! I dont buy a house or car I just live life with the peice of mind that money doesnt matter. Thats the good life baby! No worries!

I'd put it somewhere safe til I knew it didn't belong to some big muscled hit man or drug dealer. And after I was sure I would be ok, I'd help out a few friends and then invest in a business so I'd never have to work for any other fat cat again.

Since this is a hypothetical I would say that I would be debt free after my finding. After that, Im sure that I would share it. I have a thing for helping people. I once thought that if I ever won the lottery that I would open up a homeless shelter. Nowadays, I would open some kind of rehab get folks back on their feet that came back disabled (physically or mentally) from Iraq/Afghanistan. I have mad love for my fellow Vets.

If this was real life, I can honestly say that I would do the right thing and turn it into police.
