I wanna dance.
I’m addicted to So You Think You Can Dance
I don’t think I will ever be able to reach their capabilities
But I am a lot more capable than what I can do right now.
Afro-Haitian dance.
I’ve been thinking about taking it.
I’ve taken beginner’s Ballet last semester
Even if I hated my professor,
it over rides the fact that I’m dancing.
I get that. That euphoria when I move.
I travel when i elongate the lines of my limbs
Leap a little from my little world with a little releve.
Even if I have no dance background at all
other than living room grooving.
BUT I’m already registered for 17 credits.
If I add the class, it’s gonna be 19, one credit over
the limit for under 3.0 GPA-ers like me.
I have to try. Or else it will forever be a what if.
I need to dance.
