I don't know if this is what every mother goes throught but I am having the toughest time finding a nanny for my kid. It was only a couple of days ago that my husband agreed to hire a nanny and I was happy as plum. But it was only after I started looking for a nanny that I realized that this is no easy task. We posted an ad in the newspaper but soon realized that there was no way we could do a background check of the nannies who came to meet us. They did have good recomendations but I just wanted to double check to ensure that my kid was safe with them. The funny thing is that the nannies that I like my hubby does not. He has a doubtful nature and that does not help much. Finally my friend suggested yesterday that I hire a nanny agency to take care of the job. The benefit being that the nannies are already screened by the agency so you can rest assured that you are getting someone whom you can trust. The only issue is the money involved which is a lot more than putting an ad out in the paper. But I somehow managed to talk my hubby into using an agency. I am waiting to meet some nannies today and have my fingers crossed. Is it only me or do all moms have difficulties finding a nanny?
