 our dear job, part II
few days ago, in the philippines, a lady journalist and her crew, was kidnapped by armed men from the hinterlands. she is supposed to make news but it turned out to be them in the news instead.

they stayed with the kidnappers for 10 days.they were threatened to be beheaded, if P15 million is not paid.. they were  released only after "a good samaritan" paid a "board and lodging fee" (the kidnappers do not want them to be called RANSOM MONEY.) the government and the tv/radio station the lady journalist is working with, however, insist that no board and lodging or ransom money was paid to their abductors. well...

upon their release, and during her interview, she said that now she appreciates her life fully. it was an eye-opener for her. there was no mention of the company or the giant network she was working with, when she was faced with life and death. instead, she thinks of her family- her kids, parents, relatives, friends. she said that then, she was only after the glory and the praises, the accolades, she would receive when she makes fantastic, exclusive, one-of-a-kind, scoop, news.

now, her priorities in lfe is different. the family comes first!

shall we wait for us to be kidnapped or be faced with life and death, for our priorities in life, to change too?
