An Open Letter To Silly Boys:
Yesterday I learned that lots of guys think that if a girl is wearing flats or sneakers at a bar, it’s a ‘clear sign she doesn’t want attention’. WRONG –o buddy. Now I realize where the confusion could be, I mean I know my legs could kill when I’m wearing heels, I know it makes me look taller, I know I move my hips a certain way when I’m in heels, and I know that usually I do feel sexier in a cute pair of pumps. Lets be realistic though, when I go to the bar, there is usually drunkness involved. So allow me to educate you on a few facts regarding alcohol, myself and most girls:
1. When we go to a bar, we like to dance, which is much easier and more comfortable in flats.
2. We don’t want to end up looking taller than the cute boy we scope out, something that can happen if you’re wearing 4 inch heels.
3. When we get drunk, it can be pretty messy, walking in heels only makes walking harder!
4. Along those lines, when walking becomes harder, trips, slips, and falls occur – if you’re wearing flats, it’s less likely to be a physically dangerous walk home.
5. Usually bars are pretty gross and feet are often stepped on, do you think we really want to inflict that on cute little pumps?
Now it could be that a girl in flats doesn’t want any action that night, but when looking at a girl and deciding whether or not to give your favourite pick-up line a try, don’t base your decision on footwear.
