 Belief in God
I don't believe in God.
I think its a childish fantasy.
A juvenile hope than when we cry someone will come to help us.

I don't believe in Religion.
Why do we want to belong and oust others?
Religion is a manmade promise we cannot physically deliver.

I believe in spirituality.
It is personal, individual, the 'spirit' of being human
It is ones own life experiences of unexplained events.

I believe in silence.
Why debate with another?
Unique experiences form a unique person.

You seem to be very sweet. I'm not one of those pushy Christians, but if you believe in spirituality, how can you not believe in the Devine Spirit? God is Spirit and Truth. Jesus was a God Man, meaning that He was born of a virgin to live and die as a Lamb of God for the ultimate sacrafice for our sins. That is being Spiritual, to believe that our God would love us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to take our place on the cross, which we all richly deserved for our sins! I only hope you can find the true Spirit, that is Jesus!

It is possible to hold up both science and God. In fact I think they compliment eachother quite nicely because they are both true. Somewhere along the line if you want to discredit God you still need to come up with a theory that explains creation.

If you believe in science then study it from both angles. Science that tries to explain our existance with God and science that tries to explain our existance without God.

Whenever you read a theory about something also read the opposition to the theory and decide which is probable.

I say this because I truly believe that even science could lead you to believe in God when it is done without bias.

If you really want to be brave then you could read "Case For Faith" which is the book that I am reading right now. It takes a sceintific approach to explain God. If you don't like it then test it and try to discredit it and tell me what you stumble upon.

Good luck

If you choose not to believe in God, it is of course, your choice.
And if you wish to stand by that choice - again, it's up to you.

I believe in an almighty God. And I believe that one day (that flashy time they call Armageddon) he's going to change everything back to just like it was in the Garden of Eden.

Whenever I wonder to myself - is this real? is there really a God? - I go back over the basics...

evolution vs creation

and I realise that (for myself) evolution is a chance occurence that everything come together to make a planet of the perfect mix of ingredients to sustain all life forms; and that everything work in harmony (plants giving off oxygen - people breathing it in); and that we are the only creatures that think, reason, hope, dream and yearn.

Every time I come back to creation.

i can really relate to what you've said - i have felt like that since i was 10 years old and was made to feel like i was some kind of devil child bcos of it!everyone to themselves, what makes you complete and feel happy wont necessary do the same for the next person.

my mother-inlaw half attacked me the other day because she thinks i need "god" in my life, just because i dont go to church etc. she couldnt understand it because my explanation (which is almost identical to yours) doesnt fit into a neat catagory like "catholic""judism""satanism" this ism and that ism,... u think people generally do not understand things unless they are in neat little catagories, we have to catagorise everything including people- we think it helps us understand things? like "oh she is a loner, that is why she has no friends" or "he is a jock, thats why he's good at everything"- we like catagorising people. and when someone is "different" and they cant catagorise them, they freak out and start trying to put them in a box with the rest of them and thats when the "religon pushing" and self rightousness comes out..

I don't believe in God either. I have had a million debates, heard many sides and opinions and I don't believe in God.

I don't know how creation came to pass, but I don't feel like I need to know either. It's nice that we as human's don't know everything. We are not as smart as we like to think, we don't have the answers to everything.

The enjoyment in life is from trying to find out, not in finding out, in the same way as the journey is always worth more than the destination.

I prefer to focus on my journey (my life) rather than the destination (where I will end up when I die).

As an athiest I am constantly made to feel that I am some sort of evil person who just hasn't found the 'truth' yet. However I stick to my own beliefs and this is, after all, a free world.

My parents were agnostic and left me to decide for myself. When I become a mother, although I am an athiest, I will do the same for my child.

Thanks for the post, I was beginning to wonder if I was alone with my thoughts! xxx
