| Being Sick and Taking Care of People

There are several things on my mind at the moment. But I'll start with the fact that me and a group of friends went to see Superbad last weekend. There was a girl who went with us, who refused to watch the movie. She knew about a week ahead of time that we were all going to see THIS movie. It was a group activity and she refused to take part in it. Not only that, but the whole time we were talking about it, she tried to make us feel bad for seeing the movie. Like we were going straight to hell. First of all, why would she even come with us if she knew that was the movie we were going to see? Second, she was completely out of place for judging what the rest of us saw. She too, went to see a rated R movie but "it wasn't as bad as Superbad". WHICH BY THE WAY SHE HASN'T EVEN SEEN THE MOVIE. Anyways, just something that irritated me.
So, I have this new job working with kids in an afterschool program. AND I AM ALMOST READY TO PULL HAIR OUT. I have been sick this week. And I work with first graders for some of the time. They need help writing their name. This is at a school that has a reputation for being "the bad school" all of these kids come from lower income families and most of them don't live with their parents. Anyways, the first graders are so starved for attention that they are willing to do anything. And that drains me. Later on in the day I work with 3-8 grades. These kids are only interested in talking about who is going out with whom. And they won't listen to anything I say. I am probably super irretiable about my job because I am sick.

As a former teacher I can attest to the fact that not only can kids make you ill,the stress can kill you. Try Robert Half and do temp work the pay is better, people really appreciate you and you get to work with adults.

That girl sounds like a born again Christian. Try to stay away from Christians, they try to make everybody as unhappy and confused as they are. Buddhists are cool, very laid back and Wiccans are wickedly funny.
