'Run' by Snow Patrol starts playing through the stereo as I begin to pace in the living room of his apartment. I feel like the song should be my anthem for my life at the moment. He smiles kindly at me and tells me to just say what's on my mind.
"I don't know if I'll ever get out of this spot. It's like a cycle."
He raises an eyebrow and asks me what spot.
"This spot in my heart & in my head. I keep coming back to it...I keep coming back to you."
He smiles at me, happy. That smile that cuts to my core & makes me weak all at the same time. Along with those cool green eyes of his, makes it all the more impossible to walk away from.
He gets up and pulls me close to him, kissing me gently.
"It's all going to be ok. Courage, love. Courage."
Maybe someday.
