Is it true that our planet is slated to die? Is there a conspiracy or are natural resources becoming perilously consumed? For the world to survive, do we have to adopt an earth friendly lifestyle? With the lack of total health and the climbing cost of healthcare, is it time to return to natural modes to save lives? If we desire a better planet, the education of our children in environmental issues is important.

There was a time when most people kept a garden and grew some of their own foods. The pleasure of the garden, witnessing it blossom and producing fruits and vegetables is something many children do not experience. Green plants convert carbon dioxide into oxygen but how many youngsters are aware of this? Nutrition, unpolluted air and drinking fresh water all can lead to a healthy body. The wellbeing of our earth may depend on a return to an earth friendly lifestyle.

Some of the advances in technology have made life easier, but at what expense? People are able to longer, but are they living better? Medical advances have removed certain diseases, but have they added health troubles that now plague our planet? Going green will better the health of the environment and make life worth living. The profits of green living needs to be taught to our youngsters.

The use of petroleum and coal has distinctly not helped our desires for fresher air and so wind and solar energy solutions are needed. We have the tendency to react to a problem after it has become too huge to solve. Do we really want to destroy the earth? What other reason would there be for the total contamination of the planet? At what point is the air too contaminated, and the water excessively contaminated, and the food sources too polluted that things cannot be turned around.

Material goods appear to mean more to people than some of the conventional values we used to have. Making money should not be the motive when considering the wellbeing of an individual. We need to be conscious of the wellness of our environment, change our pace of life and help to make the world good for everyone.

Maybe solar power and wind power are not as gainful as petroleum, but isn't it time that making huge profits is not the deciding factor for doing something? More natural ways of living, fewer waste and living healthily, these are all things we can teach our kids. For the sake of our kids, we need to understand what we need to do, so that they have a future on this planet. Developing green living habits should be a priority for each of us.
