I haven't posted in a long, long time...
Partly because I've been furiously writing my next book. In the light of my youth novel being published, I'm hoping to submit this next one to a slightly larger publishing house. I think my initial success with the youth novel has swelled my perception of myself-- I have this dream of my new book being accepted instantly, when in reality I'll probably get rejection letters.
But hey-- a girl can always try.
So anyway... I haven't posted in a while. I'm too busy having friends over, tutoring at my local literacy association, working, etc.
Life has begun to go very fast. Sometimes I just have to take a moment to drink in the details around me-- the smell of coffee, the unique lilt of a coworker's voice, the feel of the keyboard under my fingers. This is life-- the small everyday moments when you are more aware of everything around you than usual, instead of just racing along from one task to the next.
