i am fascinated with theĀ  art of food. i love to cook. actually i like to eat, but i also have a thing for being in the kitchen. ive been surrounded by cooks all my life. both my parents are good cooks. my dad used to be c chef and now works in the bakery at safeway. my uncle owns a restuarant in walnut creek. i also have family in other countries that own their own restuarants. they all specialize in asian foods, but thats not what i want. i want to venture out and do my own thing. growing up i was always eating. my mom liked the fact that she never had to chase me around to feed me like other kids. i have been cooking for myself since the ramen noodle days when i was 8. i love to watch the food network. i want to work for them one day. that was what i wrote on everyones high school yearbooks to watch for me on the food network. i dont really have time to watch the food network anymore. i go to school and work full time. plus i dont have cable at the house.

my ultimate goal and dream is to one day own my own reatuarant and work for the food network, hopefully my own show. after another year or two at ccsf, i would like to transfer to the university of haiwaii and study business. after i graduate there, i want to come back to ccsf and enter the culinary program. then after that i might even go into the california culianry academy here in sf. i also want to travel around other countries and study there too. and hopefully someday i will own my own restuarant. this is a lot of time and money. its going to be hard work.

this is part of my identity because what i like to do. its in my blood. my brother also wants to be a chef. cooking is my passion and there are so many new things out ther for me to learn. im really excited. food is going to be needed as long as humans exists. i like to help people so why not make them some good food. and who wouldnt want a man that can cook??

It sounds great that you have a view of your goal. I love to eat and cook as well. Especially, in San Francisco, I appreciate the fact I can eat a number of different kinds of cuisine; they are literally from all over the world. I believe that eating is the most important activity for us to live and what we eat is what we are. I think it is wonderfull that you want to become a chef, who can provide us not only his food but also the good feeling of eating a good food.

Thanks for sharing to us your goals and your passion to cooking and food!!

I have to say also I LOVE tasting different kinds of cuisine and am also fasinated by how people make them from nothing. I am not a good cook and neither parents nor any of my relatives are a real chef. However, If I have to pick a person that cook the BEST food in the world, it would be my mom. SHe is my source of inspiration on cooking and as Im enjoying the food that she makes for me everyday. I feel like Im the happiest girl in the world.

Oh. And you may be right. Women generally admire men that can cook. It's....attractive!

I started cooking in Yosemeti National Park and ever since it has become a passion of mine to the point where i grew to become a Sou Chef part time. Maybe not as much as you since it looks like you inherited it. One thing i love about traveling is tasting all the delicious food this world has to offer. In addition i am grateful if i can learn traditional plates of different cultures and make them my own, that makes me really happy. You ever try doing that??

I believe no lady would not like a man who can cook. It is great to have a man in charge cooking at home because he can help woman. I hate that people always think cooking is a duty of women. While, when I watch cooking competition on T.V., they all are male.

Eat is an important link in our daily life, and i love to try different style of cusine, such as japanese, korean, mexican, vietnamese, and more.
It's great that you found your goal. Mostly, the children will inherit what their parents' jobs which is good. That way you can continue their business and innovate to your own style.

I think that yours goals are great because working with food is such fun thing to do because you experiment with different flavors and see what taste well and what dose't taste well just one thing if you get to work in food network try not to work with the guy from dinner impossble because he is crazy.

Foods one of my favorite things, thats a good goal to have. Owning your own business is the best thing you can do as far as being happy with you occupation. Ive thought about being a chef, but i just not my thing. I like to cook but not all day.

Since you love to cook so much... feed me. =) I'm not kidding. lol. It's funny that you mentioned the Food Network because that is one of my favorite channel. I watch that channel like almost every night before I go to sleep. One of my favorite shows on that network is "Dinner Impossible." Man, that man on that show is a beast! In my opinion, he is the definition of an accomplished culinary chef because he has cooked for royalty and completed some of the toughest culinary challenges, such as cooking for 3000 people in 6 hours (you'll know what I mean if you watch the show). I believe that you will accomplish your dream of being a successful chef at your own resturant b/c you're funny and you can cook.

and i hope one day you can will cook a delicious meal with vegetables and convince your daughter to eat it, like what my dad did to me. now i love my veggies.

haha im always looking for things to do to make me more appealing to the ladies and you said who doesnt want a man that can cook. maybe i should try to get into cooking myself. i wonder what will be in stored for you food wise in hawaii. maybe with a business back ground and colunary skills you will have the best restaurant around. i think its cool that you carried your passion from cooking instant noodles from a young age up until now. i burned myself will making instant ramen so i stayed away from cooking haha.

HEEY, i eat all the time. cook the class something sometime..but its good that you know how to cook and that youve been raised by people who know how to cook well. My family can cook but they never taught me how to. Well they did but my lazy ass never paid attention and just look forward to the eating part. so basically i wish i had your skill in the kitchen department. and ps im eating top ramen right now so i can relate to that part of your blog
