| They just keep getting tougher

Today was one of my teammate's one year anniversary of remission. I actually didn't know he ever had cancer, he always manages to kick everyone's butt at practice. Take today for example. After a 26 mile loop (next week's is 45, I've been informed) we had to get off our bikes and run 1.5 miles. My legs felt like rubber, and I nearly fell on my face in the first 10 minutes. My coach ran next to me, and when I started to feel like I would collapse, he yells out to Tom to "pull the cancer card." Tom, who was running right behind us, threw his fist up and yelled "one year in remission!" And of course I started running again.
