Tiger TV debate
At 7 p.m. tonight, Tiger TV hosted the two top SG presidential candidates as they debated to attract more voters to the elections on April 2nd.

The candidates stated their positions on the main 3 issues of this election: academics, athletics, and student fees.

Colorado Robertson plans to help students academically by extending library hours and creating "rollover W's."  His plan for athletics is to make earning priority points more available for away games.  Finally, Robertson covered the issue on most students' minds, student fees.  "I can promise you I will continue to fight against fee increases," Robertson stated honestly.

Dixon McMakin gave his plan to create a syllabus data base on paws, which allows students to access professor's syllabus' before signing up for the class.  "Students need to get into the right classes so they can graduate on time," McMakin said.  He also has a plan to "revamp" the priority point system.  On the issue of student fees, McMakin stated that he, "will spend [the students] money to the best of our ability."  He urged the issue to "get our finances on track."

Both candidates had good ideas for the university's future, as well as the supporters to back them up.

As for Do Nothing '08, who did not participate in the debate, not much has been said.
