| SG candidates support diversity

Dixon/Oaks and Robertson/Bates gathered at the African American Cultural Center on Wednesday to discuss ways to create more diversity throughout LSU.
Both candidates have plans to create a more diverse environment on campus.
Robertson/Bates plan to involve the Black Student Union with the SG more. They also plan to incorporate the whole university during Homecoming week.
On the other side of the debate, Dixon/Oaks wants to promote more events during Black History Month. They also stated their support of someone like acting Chancellor William Jenkins for the new chancellor. They want to see someone who supports diversity and self-awareness.
Another idea brought up on Wednesday night was Dixon/Oaks plan to bring back the President's Cabinet, where the presidents of 37 campus organizations will meet with the chancellor once a month.
