He had watched her from a distance for what seemed an eternity. She wasn't exactly what one would call gorgeous, but he found she had a sparkle in her smile and a twinkle in her eye he had never seen in another woman. She looked like she smelled of sunshine and summer. She wore a simple cotton sundress. Sexy with spahgetti straps almost resembling a nightgown. Her neck was exposed and he could see parts of her breast and back.
He watched and wondered how her mouth would feel, her lips against his. How her skin would feel and had a strong urge to get her alone, but he maintained his cool and waited for the right moment. It would never pay to rush things like this and ultimately in doing so, would just ruin it. So he waited and watched this smiling girl with the blonde hair in her beautiful sundress.
Finally he felt he had been patient enough. He had been having these internal discussions all night with the evening winds blowing. Such a beautiful tangle of words came to his mind thinking of her......words like the web of a spider in the early morning as it hangs, suspended in dew, quivering slightly under a simple breeze and it's gentle breaths. The skirt of her dress danced as the air caught its hemline.
He felt her hand under his as they talked through the night mindless of the time. It was so warm and soft. Her breath, he could feel occasionally on his neck when she would turn her face towards him to speak. She was so sweet and smelled slightly of flowers. He walked with her on the beach, and her fragrant hair brushed against his cheek as if it had a life of its own. He kept noticing the strap of her sundress fall off her shoulder and finally with gentle fingers slid it back up, willing it to fall again in hopes of touching her again. Did she think him too forward?
Did time stand still that night? Did the world simply stop its rotation just for the two of them? He wanted this night to never end, for her to always be by his side. He would never forget this evening. Her laughter, her voice, her smile and that simple, sexy, little cotton sundress.
