I'm staring at you
...and I cannot blink. Comes with being a xombie. People like to know how others see them. So here you are, along with the reason why I laugh at you.
Lyn:
Why I laugh at her: She is made up of strange pointy bits which at first glance seem incongruous, but after reading for a bit, they come together in an oddly harmonious whole. Crotchety old men are attracted to her and when she writes about it you can practically see her throw her hands in the air and sigh.
Greunie:
Why I laugh at her: Her pictures are as bright and colorful as she is. When she contemplates her toes, flowers grow up from the grass between them.
Desinq:
Why I laugh at him: He looks like a gnome and rides a dinosaur. Most of the time he and the dinosaur are the best of friends, but sometimes it gets stuck in MacDonald's parking lots. Other times the refrigerator explodes. Or the dinosaur reaches 'round with its long neck and eats Desinq's head. Then I laugh myself silly.
Ron:
Why I laugh at her: How could I not? She'd open Pandora's box, she'd be right at home in Granny Weatherwax's coven, she looks good in stripy shirts. She cared when the Comedian died. I don't forget that kind of thing.
Pastor Mike:
Why I laugh at him: He wandered around for a long time before he found a way to light a fire with an ice lens, so to speak. Had the opportunity to meet him-- the man knows his beer, and even if the earth has turned under him more than a handful of times, he hasn't closed in on himself. He is still growing.
Jezzabelle:
Why I laugh at her: She vamps for fun. Reading her posts is like lying on a girlfriend's bed and watching her come out of a closet in one outrageous outfit after another, showing off her cleavage and shaking her tushie to whatever CD happens to be on.
MyLittleThief:
Why I laugh at him: He puts things where they don't belong, and I mean that in every sense of the world the word, the would and could and should. Anyway he's incongruous and talented and I find it funny.
ThroughTheRain:
It's hard to say, but don't you agree?
Steve Hayes:
Why I laugh at him: He knows he has the key to a door, but he is not sure which. Hopefully he will find it and close it and lock it before the wolves get in. Sometimes he locks the wolves out, sometimes he locks them in. Occasionally they get to him. And I laugh.
For the Wreckord:
Why I laugh at her: Her attitude reminds me of Lady Sovereign's song "Love Me or Hate Me."
Incessant Ramblings:
Why I laugh at her: She is one of the only people I know who is not afraid to laugh at Islam. She's got an hysterical take on the day-to-day aspects of life in a Muslim country. Not only is it funny, but it's also brave.
Phat:
Why I laugh at him: He's gross! He's got good taste in videos. Also he has a flair for stories that make a person want to throw up and laugh at the same time, so he's gotta be doing something right.
Blood in the Eyes:
Why I laugh at him: He says what he thinks. I don't always agree, but he doesn't expect anyone to. If people think he is obnoxious he is okay with that. So I know I can laugh or even smirk at him.
Evetspordlaw:
Why I laugh at him: His plays on words make me very happy. Also he's a true talent. I don't say that about just anyone. Many people write poetry, but few are poets, and finding such a person makes me laugh much as I do when I see bubbles floating by unexpectedly.
Azalia:
Why I laugh at her: Her descriptions of places and events are like cloud-shadows moving rapidly over landscapes. Now funny, now frustrated, now introspective, now impulsive.
I know there are others... but to be honest I haven't formed a mental image of some of you yet. Give it a little while, your time will come.
