| I found your blog entry quite ignorant to be honest. My boyfriend is in the army (british) He is a corporal and has worked extremely hard to get where he is. He is intelligent and has a degree in electrical engineering. He wasn't from a poor or disadvantaged area. He went to college and had excellent grades in high school. I understand that you speak mostly of the American Army and american way of life however I am American living in the UK. War is unfortunate and Im sure a lot of the soldiers in iraq never thought in a million years they would have to witness or experience what they are doing when they joined the army. It is true that some inviduals are not blessed with brains but if you knew anything about the army then you would know that you have infantry and support units and etc. Soldiers dont just fight. They all have skills or qualifications that make them an essential part of the bigger picture. In fact in most natural disasters a soldier is called upon for support or rescue. I dont think your statements are fair and that until you have walked in their shoes then who are you to pass judgement?? |

| Well someone has to fight in Iraq, not that I would want to fight in IRAQ. I would never get killed for a country fool of ignorant people. Some people just want to go into the army but thats them. Is 60,000 dollars worth getting ur legs blown off? |
