I grew up in a place called Cape Town South Africa, which is actually in the southern part of Africa hence the name South Africa. I have met a lot of people in Canada and they almost looked confused when I meet them because I am white and then they start the questions about slavery and think I am racist. which is totally wrong because I grew up with a lot of black people and some of them were my best friends and still are great friends today. Now don't get me wrong South Africa isn't the best place for black and white people to live the reason for this is we have had the worst governments of all time. I am pretty sure both black and white government screwed up. It was the white government that screwed up first by not giving blacks thier rights and not letting them get an education until 1993. So growing up in South Africa was hard for black people and it had an effect on me because I thought black people were different than white until I was old enough and realized that it was not the case. It's crazy how when you grow up in a situation like that it influences you and you just don't know any better until you figure it out yourself. I understand now how people live a way of life without realizing what is actually right and true. And this is my segway to the way life is lived in blindness to Jesus and the way Jesus wanted us to live. the ways of the world involve lies, selfishness, greed, power, controlling, hate, instant pleasure no matter who we hurt, steeling, murder and soo much more. People are born into a world full of this garbage and can become imune to these things because it can become a way of life and not seem wrong, but it will destroy your soul without you even knowing it. This just shows the power of the world (sin) over us.
Because sometimes the things that we call freedom inslave us
