I remember as a teenager similar things happening to me...
The only thing I can say is stick it out! It gets better when your parents start looking at you like an adult. Promise!

I've been depressed. Perhaps I am even depressed right now.
It is a terrible experience and I am sorry to hear you are going through it. I can see how the indifference you are describing must be infuriating. :(

The question is not "what is love?" but "why am I feeling what I am feeling?" Framing the issue with that question leads you to more sensible answers.
You are feeling what you are feeling because evolution via natural selection has shaped the human psyche so that it wishes strongly for sex....

You're missing the forest for the trees. The number of such incidents is so incredibly low per capita that they are a statistical drop in the bucket. They just get a lot of media attention. The vast majority of people behave morally.
