 Nice trip to Ozifornia

Last year I had the chance ta go ta California for the first time. San Fran, L.A. and then up north ta the vineyards.  Well child......California is different!  Most of the time I thought I was in Mexico and the rest of the time I was visiting the land of Oz!  The guys looked like chicks and the chicks looked like guys and some it was hard ta tell.  I saw people that reminded me of all the books I read young about fairy godmothers and Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and that was just the guys!!  Most of the women scared me and the friends I was traveling with. I did love the clothes though.  Everything cost a ransom and my God, all the homeless people!!  Every where!  It was like this was where all the old hippies came ta die.  The food in Cal was wonderful as was the entertainment on every corner and bar.  Hard ta believe people parked their cars on streets that were like mountains!  The trip ta the wine folks was great also. Tasted a lot of wines and goat cheese and brown stuff that was organic.  Met a hot guy that worked at a marina and he show me one of the boats one evening and it was smooth sailing even if we didn't go out ta sea.  You just forgot about your hair there cause the wind never lets up. The sky in L.A. was cloudy most of the time and they say most of that is really smog.  All n all it was a cool trip and I finally got ta meet the tooth fairy on 22Th ave in San Fran.

I have a niece that is going to Hawaii in November, then over to Florida for a couple of weeks.California sounds too far out, hope she doesn't end up there!

You enjoyed it there?...you would find Perth way too tame then, sore sure!

California was to busy!! Not all that comfortable with the people there but still a wonderful place to visit. Would love to visit a place like Perth but my gosh the cost and flight time there is horrible and besides I'm afraid if I went there, by the time I got back to the U.S. every one here might be speaking Chinese!!

My Lady,Yeah our Aussie dollar seems to be creeping up in value against the greenback, making it more expensive for U.S. visitors. We might be speaking Chinese ourselves pretty soon the way things are going!Just about everything we eat, drink and wear seems to come from there these days!

It's a very strange place, but my family moved here before it became a state, and I've grown up with it. This looks like you were in Marin county someplace, like up atop Mount Tamalpias. Sorry about the wind coming off the Pacific, but it sounds like you had a great time. You may have bumped into a tooth fairy with hairy legs, but at least a handsome skipper took you for a cruise.

Some of the best looking guys I've ever met were in San Fran and they were all "tooties"!!!

Yeah, they're typically the ones who take the best care of themselves outwardly, and with an eye to be desirable. I've often heard the remark you've made.

Any place founded on a fault line and that is virtually guaranteed to fall into th ocean at any moment is bound to be populated by people who are a little different. Beautiful state. Fell in love with the area north of Salinas myself.

It is a wonderful and exciting place except for half the population is waiting for their "mother ship" to arrive.
