I've never understood why some people are like that. It's intuitively obvious when someone is attracted to you. They certainly don't need to pull it out and shove it in your face with their come-on lines. Why they think that would arose interest in another person escapes me. Like you say, they act familiar before they ever know you, when you are just an attractive appearance, but without a clue as to whether you would be someone they would enjoy having a conversation with, or getting to know as a friend.

You are probably subjected to this disrespectful nonsense more often because you are attractive, and perhaps too because you work amongst the public. But that only explains why it happens; it doesn't excuse it in the least.

Once again, I have reason to be ashamed on behalf of my sex -- my regrets.

Well M'lady,probably the worst thing I have called a woman is "babe" and never before i have got to know her. Even then,not very many of the ones I have got to know are addressed by anything other than their name. A lot of men are idiots in that they think they are "Gods gift." More like "Gods joke!" A big embarrassment to the rest of us!

Having said that I must also say this: There are women...NOT ALL! who are attracted to what I call the "bad boys." Men who use and mistreat women. These women don't want to know the "good boys," the men who care,who treat women like ladies.It is weird.These women just keep going back to the "bad boys." The ones who treat them like rubbish! They don't want the men who treat them like queens! Weird!!

You are so right, "babe". Some chickies do go for the bad boys and gangstas. In the long run what always comes out on top is CLASS! Seems being cool only last for a while but class last a life time............Pam

The sad thing is guys say things like that because it works. Someone women love themselves and being complimented so much they can't see the way they are disrespecting themselves by going out with those guys.
