| More Ideas! |
Besides the books and yarn shops I have used for inspiration, I also like to read the knitting magazines. Even if I don’t use any of the patterns out of the magazine I see new yarns or new accessories that I can use to make a knitted handbag.
Recently Grayson E issued several new patterns using leather handles, straps, and flowers. The patterns are distributed by Muench Yarns, Inc. and are not easy to find. After several searches I did find the patterns and the leather accessories. I have been busy making several. As with any good pattern once you have made one handbag you can think of several variations to make more.
I also subscribed to a newsletter which I think is really interesting. The newsletter is published three times a week and has lots of good ideas plus interesting patterns and I like the way the writer gives tips on making knitted items. She actually knits, makes mistakes, and tells you how to correct a mistake.
The name of the newsletter is Knitting Daily and the editor of the magazine (also called Knitting Daily) is Sandi Wiseheart. If you like newsletters and knitting I think you will like her down to earth approach.
Where do you find inspiration? Let me know.
