 Keep a Notebook
When I first started knitting my handbags I was given a great bit of advice I am passing on to you. KEEP A NOTEBOOK. I bought a small spiral bound notebook and started making entries regarding my project. I really thought I had done a spectacular job until I started writing this blog and found that I didn’t have all the information I needed to describe a handbag I had made. So I am making a note to myself to do a better job and to encourage you to do something wonderful for yourself.

The Design Notebook (it needed a title) should include the following:
Date started
Name of pattern
Yarn description (include the manufacturer, color, lot #, weight, yardage, yarn content, price per skein)
Where you purchased the yarn (include name, address, and phone number)
Size of needles used.
Date finished
Number of skeins used

To make the notebook really complete add a small sample of each yarn and a picture of finished project.

Let me know if you have any other ideas that would make the notebook better.
